Our client is a major online retailer with significant market share and double digit annual growth. They are a complex, innovative and dynamic business entering new markets and designing new service lines. The ability to deliver these products and services to customers is supported by the effective use of technology solutions to not only enable the business, but also drive efficiencies and reduce costs.
The relatively small IT function has delivered some significant projects in a very short space of time, however, looking to the future the technology function needs to increase its delivery capability and mature its processes and procedures to better serve the accelerated growth of the business. There is a need to engage more effectively with the business to identify, design and deliver major IT programmes of work that will deliver real visible business benefit. This creates a business need for new skill sets in the Technology leadership team.
To that end a number of senior appointments are to be made for architects with expereince of application, web, data or large scale infrastructure design and development.
Each architect will take ownership for and be accountable for the strategic decisions concerning development, roadmaps principles and strandards and develop architects running work streams of their programme. The work will be very high profile within the business and the ability to manage C-level stakeholders is essential.

Have an excellent track record of designing and delivering large complex programmes of work to time and budget Have a proven track record of managing, communicating and driving change.Have proven leadership skills in mentoring and developing individuals and teams.Have an excellent academic background.Have proven ability of building relationships and communicating between business and technology functions.Have a solid technical grounding in either web technologies, microsoft technologies, infrastructure or warehouse management systems.Be highly credible presenting to and influencing business and technology senior management.
